Welcome to my Professional Portfolio
Having a mother who works within medical field, I have always felt connected to medicine. Therefore, I always knew I would pursue a career within the world of medicine. However, it wasn't until my sophomore year of college that I discovered public health and found that I loved it's connection between health care and the local community. Throughout the major, I have taken various courses that I have sparked my interest as well as have further educated me in regards to my future endeavors. Through my business writing course however, I have found a connection between the realm of professionalism and the medical field. By utilizing the techniques learned throughout this course, I found that my writing as well as my understanding of what it means to 'stand out' as a candidate has changed.
About Me
A Glimpse into my Life
As an individual who is extremely interested in a career in the medical field, I find myself both driven and enticed by scholastics. I knew that by moving to Tucson, Arizona in order to attend the University of Arizona, the Mel and Zuckermann College of Public Health would be the perfect opportunity for me. Within this university, I have been given the to opportunity to immerse myself within the world of Public Health and Business, being a business minor.
The goals I have been able to accomplish in my 3 and a half years here have helped drive me to accomplish my dream of attending medical school. By interning within my major and studying abroad for business administration, I feel that I have gained skills that will help me further my education within the medical world.

Within this homework assignment, I found that I utilized the student learning objectives of rhetoric, process, collaboration, and genre. Within rhetoric, I feel that I used this to convince my audience what the meaning behind each text was and why I chose each font as well as color scheme. Within process, I feel that I have edited as well as rewritten my text in order to ensure that it makes sense with my reasoning. Within collaboration, I feel that I have worked with the relationship between font and color in order to establish a bond between the two. Within genre, I feel that I have used a particular tone as well as structure in order to compose my fonts and color scheme. Overall, I feel that I didn't encounter many issues when using these objectives, due to the way this assignment was well explained and extremely straight forward.

Business Writing Fall 2018
Within this course I feel that I have learned a great amount about rhetorical analysis, research, reflection, and revision. These skills that I have gained within the course have furthered my understanding within the realm of business writing. I feel that I have a greater understanding of how to write a professional cover letter as well as resume in order to help myself within the future. The tools I have been given within this class, such as assignments, have taught me how to exceed professionalism within the world I wish to work in.
My Writing Journey
Growing as a writer through English 307
As a girl who's always been fond of writing, coming into this class I felt that I had a lot to offer. However, this class introduced me to a new form of writing, professional writing. This class taught me how to create more professional tools needed to succeed within the career I wish to pursue. I feel that because of this class my style of writing has become more adjusted to a professional environment in regards ton preparing to send emails to potential employers. Overall, I feel that this class have given me a lot of tools, such as SOLs, resume building, and editing skills in order to help me pursue my future goals within the professional medical field.
